According to the latest updates from India Pepper and Spice Trade Association (IPSTA), Kochi, Pepper arrivals in Kochi Mandi decreased to 110 quintals on Thursday on 28th June 2012 from 120 quintals, meanwhile offtakes slumped to 90 quintals from 140 quintals as on Wednesday.
Black Pepper for ready delivery in Kochi, closed Thursday's trading session on negative note with MG-1 at Rs 40,100, down by Rs 200 and Un-Garbled pepper at Rs 38,600, down by Rs 200 per 100 kg.
The NCDEX Pepper July contract ended the session lower at Rs 40,700, down by Rs 415 or 1.01% over the last close. The contract traded in the range of Rs 40,620-41,125 per quintal.
