According to the latest updates from India Pepper and Spice Trade Association (IPSTA), Kochi, Pepper arrivals in Kochi Mandi decreased to 80 quintals on Saturday on 4th August 2012 from 110 quintals, meanwhile offtakes jumped to 110 quintals from 90 quintals as on Friday.
Black Pepper for ready delivery in Kochi, closed Saturday's trading session on negative note with MG-1 at Rs 42,200, down by Rs 200 and Un-Garbled pepper at Rs 40,700, down by Rs 200 per 100 kg.
The NCDEX Pepper September contract ended the session lower at Rs 43,825, down by Rs 500 or 1.13% over the last close. The contract traded in the range of Rs 43,800-44,600 per quintal.
