According to the latest updates from India Pepper and Spice Trade Association (IPSTA), Kochi, Pepper arrivals in Kochi Mandi decreased to 200 quintals on Tuesday on 29th May 2012 from 340 quintals, meanwhile offtakes slumped to 100 quintals from 370 quintals as on Monday.
Black Pepper for ready delivery in Kochi, closed Tuesday's trading session with negative note at Rs 39,400, down by Rs 300 and Un-Garbled pepper ended at Rs 37,900 per 100 kg, down by Rs 300 over last close.
The NCDEX Pepper June contract ended the session lower at Rs 39,750, down by Rs 665 or 1.65% over the last close. The contract traded in the range of Rs 39,205-40,660 per quintal.
