According to the latest updates from India Pepper and Spice Trade Association (IPSTA), Kochi, Pepper arrivals in Kochi Mandi increased to 600 quintals on Wednesday on 9th May 2012 from 30 quintals, meanwhile offtakes jumped to 570 quintals from 70 quintals as on Tuesday.
Black Pepper for ready delivery in Kochi, closed Wednesday's trading session on steady note with MG-1 at Rs 36,700 and Un-Garbled pepper at Rs 38,200 per 100 kg.
The NCDEX Pepper May contract ended the session higher at Rs 37,215, up by Rs 150 or 0.40% over the last close. The contract traded in the range of Rs 36,900-37,550 per quintal.
