According to the latest updates from India Pepper and Spice Trade Association (IPSTA), Kochi, Pepper arrivals decreased to 90 quintals from 120 quintals and offtakes stood steady at 120 quintals.
Black Pepper for ready delivery in Kochi, closed Friday's trading session on positive note with MG-1 at Rs 38,900, up by Rs 100 and Un-Garbled pepper at Rs 37,400, up by Rs 100 per 100 kg.
The NCDEX Pepper February contract ended the session higher at Rs 35,395, up by Rs 80 or 0.23% over the last close. The contract traded in the range of Rs 35,200-35,530 per quintal.
