According to the latest updates from India Pepper and Spice Trade Association (IPSTA), Kochi, Pepper arrivals in Kochi Mandi decreased to 80 quintals on Wednesday on 2nd May 2012 from 110 quintals, meanwhile offtakes slumped to 50 quintals from 90 quintals as on Monday.
Black Pepper for ready delivery in Kochi, closed Wednesday's trading session with positive note at Rs 38,100, up by Rs 300 and Un-Garbled pepper ended at Rs 36,600 per 100 kg, up by Rs 300 over last close.
The NCDEX Pepper May contract ended the session higher at Rs 37,300, up by Rs 440 or 1.19% over the last close. The contract traded in the range of Rs 36,830-37,470 per quintal.
