According to the latest updates from India Pepper and Spice Trade Association (IPSTA), Kochi, Pepper arrivals increased to 170 quintals from 30 quintals and offtakes jumped to 190 quintals from 30 quintals.
Black Pepper for ready delivery in Kochi, closed Wednesday's trading session on positive note with MG-1 at Rs 38,300, up by Rs 300 and Un-Garbled pepper at Rs 36,800, up by Rs 300 per 100 kg.
The NCDEX Pepper February contract ended the session lower at Rs 34,515, up by Rs 340 or 0.99% over the last close. The contract traded in the range of Rs 33,975-34,765 per quintal.
