TOPSGRUP signs JV with SECUREGATE

With a stake of 51%, TOPSGRUP will be the majority partner. With this move, TOPSGRUP will enter an Rs92 bn niche market with a long-ranging 5-year business plan.

TOPSGRUP, India’s largest and most preferred security solutions brand, has announced a strategic joint venture with SECUREGATE, a global group providing world-class security processes, standards and technologies from Israel, founded by a team of top international security experts from the Israeli Security Services, El Al Airlines and the IDF Special Forces.

The joint venture, TOPS SECUREGATE is 51:49% JV with equal investment from each partner. With a stake of 51%, TOPSGRUP will be the majority partner. With this move, TOPSGRUP will enter an Rs92 bn niche market with a long-ranging 5-year business plan. The JV is expected to yield a turnover of Rs7,050 mn over the 5-year period.

The JV will leverage the infrastructure of TOPSGRUP in India and as and when required super-specialists from Israel will join the team. In due course of time, a specialized high –end training centre will also be set up.

Ramesh Iyer, Managing Director-TopsGroup, India said, "This is a great opportunity for TopsGroup at a time when terrorism ia of global concern. In line with our global growth aspirations, we are ramping up or portfolio."

He added, "We are planning an Initial Public Offering after one year. We are planning to raise approximately Rs3bn for IPO."

The JV will leverage SECUREGATE’s unique TVRA (Threat identification, Vulnerability evaluation and Risk Analysis) methodology along with a proprietary intelligence mapping system to identify the real threats and loop-holes in protecting assets, infrastructures and sites.

Tailor-made solutions from TOPS SECUREGATE will include - Security Solutions Consultancy and Advice, Security Audits (Risk Assessment), Security Training to Corporate Sector, Security Training to various entities of the Government, including the Homeland Security agencies, Preparation of Security programs, planning and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) including protocol, procedures and implementation, Advanced Security Technologies & Equipment.

TOPS SECUREGATE is already creating headlines with many corporates and business houses that are showing keen interest in engaging its services. In addition, the company is in talks with the Indian government to initiate critical projects. Interestingly, post the 26/11 attacks, various Indian homeland security agencies visited Israel and met with SECUREGATE for understanding more about Israeli training and urban warfare processes, SECUREGATE’s training institute and firing range and advanced weaponry and courses.
