Network implementation includes Huawei’s LTE-ready 4G MSR BTS under the Managed Services model

Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL), India’s fastest growing pan India dual technology telecom service provider, and Huawei, a leader in providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, announced the signing of a contract to rollout TTSL’s 3G network in India.

TTSL, which recently acquired the spectrum for 9 circles for rolling out 3G services, has selected Huawei to implement a robust and rapid rollout in 5 circles, thus enabling the telecom operator to offer superior multi-media voice and data services, such as mobile streaming, video calls, mobile internet and other 3G services to its customers.

According to A. G. Rao, Chief Technology Officer & President - Enterprise Business, Tata Teleservices Limited, said: “The Company will provide superior 3G technology and services to all our esteemed consumers, and to this end, we are getting the latest LTE-ready technology from our technology partner, Huawei.”

TTSL has selected Huawei’s 3G technology under the managed services model, which includes the installation of thousands of Huawei’s industry leading, LTE-ready, SingleRAN 4th Generation multi standard radios (MSR). This selection was made based on the superior performance of Huawei’s networks that already exist in Tata DOCOMO circles.

According to Max Yang, CEO, Huawei India, “Globally Huawei is the market leader in 3G and broadband solutions and many international telecom operators have implemented Huawei's 3G technology. We are keen that the Indian telecom industry will also benefit from the latest 3G technology from Huawei. We will ensure a rapid rollout of  TTL's 3G network thus enabling them to not only capitalize on the current broadband 3G demand but also future-proof their investments by making the rollout LTE ready."
