The Bombay Store, one of India’s oldest retail outlets with over 105 years of heritage is all set to launch an unique brand property titled ‘India Haat’ to showcase the cultural diversity of various states from all over India. With the philosophy of ‘Discovering a New India’. 

The Bombay Store will organize an exceptional arts & crafts fair titled ‘India Haat’ which will showcase a mélange of arts and crafts from the royal Indian state – Rajasthan spread over 12 days, starting from February 2, 2012 to February 14, 2012. On display will be ethnic Indian footwear with sequins, beads and interesting gota work. The collection will also include a range of stylized garments like lehanga skirts, stoles, scarves, bikinis, corsets and cholis coloured with hand block prints, tie and dye, lehriyas, bandini in pure cotton material along with a variety of silk and cotton stoles with intricate kantha embroidery. 

Commenting on their new brand property, Anaggh Desai, CEO, The Bombay Store said, “Over a century The Bombay Store has served its patrons, ethnic folk products brought from every nock and corner of India, reflecting the rich folk and culture of that region. We have introduced the ‘India Haat’ brand property as a tribute to these great artisans and craftsmen who make this possible for us. The Property will be a year long activity where every few months we will focus on different regions and showcase their collection along with our existing categories. The collection will reflect ethnicity of Rajasthan which is a blend of fusion and tradition will be reflected in the collections comprising of unique accessories like classic collection of puppets, traditional embroidered animals, lac bangles, paper jewelry, bags, sun umbrellas and cushion covers with vibrant colors and kantha embroidery to name a few from the incredible culture of Rajasthan.
