Tata Motors-DVR notched up volume of 6.31 lakh shares, a 5.62-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.12 lakh shares. The stock rose 2.26% to Rs 167.35.
Ashok Leyland saw volume of 1.02 crore shares, a 5.48-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 18.70 lakh shares. The stock rose 2.89% to Rs 23.15.
Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) clocked volume of 2.99 lakh shares, a 4.39-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 68,000 shares. The stock rose 1.03% to Rs 894.50.
M&M after trading hours on Monday, 4 March 2013, said its consolidated net profit after minority interest jumped 50.8% to Rs 1254.30 crore on 16.6% growth in gross revenue plus other income to Rs 19066.80 crore in Q3 December 2012 over Q3 December 2011. M&M said that group companies like Mahindra Finance and Mahindra Holidays significantly improved their performance in Q3 December 2012.
Wipro saw volume of 3.24 lakh shares, a 3-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 1.08 lakh shares. The stock rose 2.54% to Rs 429.85.
