What are your plans for Indian market?
India is an explosively growing economy and new centres of growth are mushrooming across the country. There is a strong influx of international businesses in not just the traditional business centres like Mumbai and Delhi, but also in various other towns.
There is also growing awareness that the right business address and an international standard response mechanism can add tremendous value as you explore business opportunities globally. This is driving the requirement for serviced and virtual office solutions rapidly. We feel we have a bright future in the Indian market and are preparing to leverage our opportunities to the fullest.
What is your outlook on the IT sector?
IT & Telecommunications is one of the USPs for Servcorp globally. We have always focused on IT as a business facilitator and have made large investments of money and resources in developing what is arguably the finest and the most capable proprietary IT and Telecommunications backbone in the Serviced Offices industry globally.
The benefits of this focused investment were seen recently during the Hurricane Sandy devastation that hit New York, where in spite of total blackout, Servcorp’s clients received uninterrupted service and their business calls were answered without fail with the aid of our call rerouting systems. To us IT is at the core of our offerings and we will stay committed to leveraging the power of IT to deliver the finest solutions several steps ahead of everyone else.
Are you planning to expand new centres in the country?
We work with exacting requirements in terms of location, buildings, infrastructure and personnel, so as to ensure we translate the Servcorp experience exactly and totally. This means we have to be very careful while evaluating options. However, India is a huge country and we have two centres here at present, so expansion is definitely on the cards.
