Kingfisher Airlines - BUY
India Infoline Research Team/10:00,Feb 09,2009
After going the full-throttle to a high of Rs94 in Sept ‘08, the stock crash-landed to a 52-week low of Rs22, which proved to be a panic bottom for the stock. Since then, the stock has bounced back strongly from its lows. As seen in the chart below, the stock is supported by a short term trendline. A spike below the line in January ‘09 proved to be a false breakdown, which is considered bullish in nature as the stock continues to remain in a consolidation phase. On a number of occasions in the last few weeks, the stock has bounced off from the short-term support line and is set to take off from these levels.

Jet Airways (India) Limited
India Infoline Research Team/10:30,Dec 02,2005
ATF price cuts are not being passed on; would drive up profitability Jet does not plan to pass on the ATF price cut of Rs4 per litre to the customers. Unlike other airlines, which had initiated price hikes via fuel surcharge, Jet had undertaken price increases in its basic fares and would not be under pressure to reduce these fares. Given that ATF costs account for 30% of Jet’s revenues, a 10% reduction in ATF prices leads to a 3% improvement in profitability. We estimate that the 10% ATF price cut would positively impact bottomline by Rs1.5bn pa/ Rs17per share (assuming no fare cuts). Current year impact would be only around Rs0.5bn/Rs6 per share considering that the lower ATF cost would be applicable only for 4 months during fiscal FY06. The management expects crude to trade in a range of $50-$60 per bbl.
