HUL Q1: Volume growth disappoints,estimates missed
HUL’s net revenue grew 5.27% at Rs 8128.18, lower than IIFL estimates of Rs. 9,061.90 crore mainly due to volume growth at 4% being lower than expected at 4.5-5.5%.On account of disappointing volume growththe net profit also came in much lower at Rs 1173.90 crore against IIFL estimates of Rs 1283.50. However, some respite did come on account of gains of exceptional item of Rs 70.77 crore (write back of provision of Rs 115 crore for employee benefit).
Hindustan Unilever Ltd ended at Rs. 920.45, down by Rs. 19.15 or 2.04% from its previous closing of Rs. 939.6 on the BSE.
