KNR Construction’s Q2FY17 standalone numbers came in above Bloomberg estimates. Revenue for the period came in 29.9% above the estimate of Rs 288 cr. EBITDA came in 128.4% above the estimate of Rs 25 cr. And net profit for the period was 66.6% above the estimated figure of Rs 26 cr.

EBITDA for the period rose 42.7% yoy to Rs 56 cr led by EBITDA margins contraction of 309 bps to 15%. This was primarily the impact of across the board rise in expenses with operating expenses for the period rising 78.7% yoy.
However, net profit for the period declined 22.2% yoy to Rs 44 cr led by a 53.5% yoy increase in finance costs.
The company currently has a portfolio of 4 BOT projects and a strong EPC order-book of Rs 4579 cr.
KNR Constructions Ltd is currently trading at Rs. 672.25, down by 40.75 points or 5.72% from its previous closing of Rs. 713 on the BSE.
