Ashoka Buildcon Q2 net profit up 46% YoY

Ashoka Buildcon reported its net profit increased 46% to Rs 45.3 crore in the quarter ended September 2016 as against Rs 31 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2015.

The sales of the company decline 5% to Rs 441 crore in the quarter ended September 2016 as against Rs 467 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2015.

During the quarter under review, EBITDA Margin were at 15.8% compared with 13.5% crore.

Stock Commentary:

Ashoka Buildcon Ltd is currently trading at Rs 143, down by Rs 1.1 or 0.76% from its previous closing of Rs 144.1 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 144.9 and has touched a high and low of Rs 145 and Rs 141 respectively. So far 52214(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs 2696.81 crore.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 211.9 on 23-Dec-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs 111 on 07-Apr-2016. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 149 and Rs 136.55 respectively.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.69 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.18 % and 12.13 % respectively.

The stock is currently trading below its 50 DMA.
