Gujarat Alkalies signs pact with Chematue Engineering to set up Hydrogen Peroxide plant

The plant is expected to be operated by the quarter of Financial Year 2018-19.

Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals Ltd is currently trading at Rs. 332.2, up by Rs. 7.4 or 2.28% from its previous closing of Rs. 324.8 on the BSE. The company has signed an agreement with Chematur Engineering AB, Sweden and with IBI Chematur for procuring detailed engineering and project management services for the establishment of 14000 MTPA Hydrogen Peroxide Plant at Dahej. The plant is expected to be operated by the quarter of Financial Year 2018-19.

The scrip opened at Rs. 325.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 339.9 and Rs. 320.8 respectively. So far 340983 (NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2385.33 crore.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 338.4 on 08-Sep-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 130.1 on 01-Mar-2016. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 332 and Rs. 306.05 respectively.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 46.28 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 7.28 % and 46.44 % respectively.

The stock is currently trading above its 50 DMA.
