GE Transportation has signed a US $18 M contract with Lloyd Electric & Engineering to supply custom designed air-conditioning units for the Indian Railways Marhowra Locomotive project.

This project is a significant win for Lloyd Electric & Engineering and bulids on existing business between GE Transportation and Noske-Kaeser Rail & Vehicle New Zealand.

Stock commentary:

Lloyd Electric & Engineering Ltd ended at Rs. 273.7, up by Rs. 18.8 or 7.38% from its previous closing of Rs. 254.9 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 264 and touched a high and low of Rs. 278.7 and Rs. 262.2 respectively. A total of 427110(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1103.89 crore.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 touched a 52 week high of Rs. 328.8 on 21-Dec-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 175.9 on 29-Feb-2016. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 278.7 and Rs. 242 respectively.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.2 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 9.71 % and 39.05 % respectively.

The stock traded above its 200 DMA.
