Exchanges to examine financials of suspected shell companies: The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on Wednesday asked the stock exchanges to examine tax returns and financials for the past three years of the listed entities which are suspected to be ‘shell’ companies.
 
Anti-dumping duty on 93 products from China: Commerce and industry minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday said that anti-dumping duty is in force on 93 products imported from China. These products fall in the broad groups of chemicals and petrochemicals, products of steel and other metals, fibres and yarn, machinery items, rubber or plastic products, electric and electronic items and consumer goods, among others.
 
GST tax returns: The government has notified the dates for furnishing final tax returns for July and August under GST regime.
 
Aadhaar to be mandatory for stock, MF investments: Aadhaar may soon become mandatory for buying shares and mutual funds. The government and SEBI are planning to link Aadhaar to financial market transactions to try and control wrong practices such as conversion of black money into white through the stock market.
