Rupee ends flat at 66.65 against US dollar

The rupee closed flat against US Dollar on account of selling of American currency by banks and exporters.

The Indian rupee closed flat against US Dollar on account of selling of American currency by banks and exporters. Greenback exhibited convergent trends post Fed policy meeting, losing ground against emerging market currencies, while scaling higher against Euro and Sterling.

The Indian currency ended lower by one paise at 66.65/$. The local unit had hit a high of 66.69 and a low of 66.92. The Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) reference rate for the dollar stood at 66.65 and for Euro stood at 74.67. The RBI’s reference rate for the Yen stood at 66.08; reference rate for the Great Britain Pound (GBP) stood at 86.9207.
