Godawari Power and Ispat Ltd has announced that the company has commenced commercial production in the merged Ari Dongri iron ore mining area of 138.96 ha (Original area 106.60 ha and additional area 32.36 ha) of land situated at Village Kachche, Dist: Uttar Baster, Kanker, Chhattisgarh: As a result of this the mining capacity shall be enhanced from 7.05 lac metric tonnes per annum to 14.05 lac metric tonnes per annum. Godawari Power & Ispat Ltd is currently trading at Rs. 68.65, up by Rs. 2.6 or 3.94% from its previous closing of Rs. 66.05 on the BSE.

MEP Infrastructure has announced that its JV has bagged highways project Worth Rs. 806 Crore.

Shares of Suzlon Ltd were up by 2% at Rs.14.Suzlon Energy Ltd has announced that it has received maiden order of 105 MW from Greenko Group.The project will be located in Andhra Pradesh, India and will be progressively commissioned by January 2017.  

Shares of Crompton Greaves were trading higher by 0.19% at Rs.52.40 on NSE today. Around 20 lakh shares were traded in a multiple block at Rs.52.40-52.50 on the NSE.

TTK Prestige Ltd was higher by 6% at Rs.4612. TTK Prestige will acquire a UK-based kitchenware company for an undisclosed sum. 

Tata Steel dropped 1.7% to Rs. 325.50 on BSE. Greybull Capital announced the buyout of Tata Steel’s Scunthorpe plant yesterday and the acquisition is supported by a 400 million pound investment package. The long products’ European business has been sold for a nominal consideration. Deal with Tata Steel UK is expected to be completed within eight weeks. Transaction includes LPE Steel Works In Scunthorpe and 2 mills in Teesside.

BPCL gained 2% to Rs.935 on BSE. The company is planning to acquire additional stake in Petronet CCK. The board of directors of the company has approved the proposal to seek shareholder consent through postal ballot for increasing the ceiling of investment by Foreign Institutional Investors in the shareholding of BPCL from 24% up to 49% in one or more tranches subject to regulatory approval.

Nestle India Ltd stock were higher by 4% at Rs.6088. CFTRI (Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysuru) has cleared all samples of its instant snack brand Maggi noodles, stating that all 29 samples tested by the research institute are clear. 

DFM Foods slipped 2.5% to Rs.1,505 on BSE. ICICI Securities has informed BSE regarding Open Offer for acquisition of Equity Shares of DFM Foods Ltd to acquire of 26,10,836 fully paid up equity shares of face value of Rs. 10 each of the Target Company constituting 26% by Aravali Investment Holdings along with Jwalamukhi Investment Holdings and Westbridge Crossover Fund, LLC as the persons Acting in Concert with the Acquirer.

The weather forecaster said that normal onset of monsoon is expected to result in good rainfall over Peninsular India. Skymet has forecast rainfall at 90% of LPA in June, 105% of LPA in July, 108% of LPA in August, and 115% of LPA in September.
