Syngene International soars 4.3%; announces completion of deal with Strand Life Sciences

The company has completed a deal through which Syngene has purchased assets of Strand Life Sciences related to systems biology, Heptox and pharma bioinformatics services.

Syngene International Ltd rose 4.3% to Rs.502 on the BSE. The company has completed a deal through which Syngene has purchased assets of Strand Life Sciences related to systems biology, Heptox and pharma bioinformatics services.

The scrip opened at Rs. 514 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 524.45 and Rs. 496.1 respectively. So far 894906 (NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 9626 crore.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 510 on 07-Sep-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 315 on 23-Sep-2015. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 489.5 and Rs. 470.2 respectively.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.55 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.71 % and 6.85 % respectively.

The stock is currently trading above its 50 DMA.
