IBM has announced the implementation of IBM WebSphere ILOG software for AFL Pvt. Limited (AFL) to assist their newly created supply chain team to identify cost saving and service improvement opportunities. The solution involves IBM ILOG LogicNet Plus XE for network design and IBM ILOG Inventory Analyst for inventory analysis and optimization with training and professional services.
A third-party logistics company, AFL’s leadership team decided to offer their clients modeling services like strategic supply chain network design and inventory optimization, to supplement their warehousing and transportation management services. This software solution captures the complexity of the Indian supply chains and is scalable to model the details of AFL’s large clients.

It will serve to rationalize global distribution and manufacturing networks to help identify the most cost-efficient supply chain network.
