Ambuja Cement bags runner up award at Assocham CSR Excellence award

ACF undertakes projects and schemes for promoting social and economic development for communities around the manufacturing locations of Ambuja Cement Ltd.
Ambuja Cement bagged the first runner up award at the Assocham CSR Excellence Award during the 6th Global Corporate Social Responsibility Summit held in New Delhi. Pearl Tiwari, Director, Ambuja Cement Foundation and Joint President (Sustainability), Ambuja Cement receives the award from Kapil Sibbal, Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Govt of India in the presence of Rana Kapoor, President, Assocham. This award recognized the outstanding contribution of Ambuja Cement Foundation for the social upliftment through its various projects.
Established in 1993, ACF is the social development arm of Ambuja Cements Ltd working exclusively with rural communities on issues related to water conservation and management, sustainable agriculture, health and sanitation, support for school education, awareness on prevention on HIV and AIDS, promotion of self-help groups (SHGs) for socio-economic development of women and capacity building of local youth and farmers.
