Australia's seasonally adjusted jobless rate came in unchanged at 5.4% in October, according to data out Thursday from the Australian Bureau of Statistics. Employment rose 10,700 to 11.5 million in the month. Unemployment decreased 8,800 to 653,200. Full-time employment increased by 18,700 jobs, while part-time employment decreased by 8,000. The participation rate slipped to 65.1%, down from 65.2% the previous month. Aggregate hours worked was down 4.2 million.
