Cognizant replaced Infosys as the number-two player among offshore-centric information technology (IT) services companies at the end of the January-March quarter, says media report.
Reports said that Cognizant beat Infosys in terms of revenues on a full year basis.
In the quarter ended March 31, Cognizant reported a 17% growth in its net profit at $284 million, compared with the corresponding quarter last year.
While Infosys announced Q4 cons PAT at Rs23.94bn as against Rs23.69bn qoq. While Q4 sales stood at Rs104.54bn as against Rs104.24bn qoq. Q4 other income stood at Rs6.74bn.

The outlook is a flat start. The market will look to scale to new peaks though not much effort is needed for the same. HUL saw a rally and short-covering may have pulled it up further. Speculation is on that its parent will raise stake through an open offer. After the cooling in oil prices, Cairn results will be in focus.
