IFIM, BOSCO organises 'Save the girl child

Join us to raise awareness and pledge your support to this cause to give every girl child a better future.

IFIM Business School, in association with Oniyavara Seva Coota (BOSCO), a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) working with the young at risk in the city of Bangalore, are conducting a walkathon for the cause of  'Save the girl child on Sunday at Kanteerava Stadium. The walkathon will flag off at 7 o clock on Sunday morning at Kanteerava Stadium and will be a 2.5 km walk via Cubbon Park and back to the stadium.

 

A large number of Bangaloreans from all walks of life are expected to participate in Kanyathon. Apart from the walkathon there will be a poster making competition (for students of class 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th) and a costume walk (for students of class 10th, 11th and 12th) at the venue.

New highs pass by; flat start

The outlook is a flat open. Global indices are up. The minutes from the Federal Reserve's July meeting indicate that the Fed is in no hurry to raise interest rates. The Dow added 0.35% while S&P was up 0.25%. Nasdaq ended marginally lower. Asian indices are mixed with Nikkei up almost a percent while Hong Kong's Hang Seng index is lower. South Korea's Kospi index and China's Shanghai index are also in the red.
