In order to create a safe and secure forum for potential real estate buyers and developers on a large scale, Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (MCHI) Thane, the most prominent body of real estate builders and developers in the city, has commenced their 11th Real Estate and Housing Finance Exhibition. Held at Highland Gardens, Dhokali, near Big Bazaar, Thane (W), the exhibition was inaugurated by Honourable Shri Uddhav Thackeray - Executive President, Shiv Sena. The exhibition will continue upto May 2, 2011 between 11:30 am to 9:00 pm.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Shri K P Raghuvanshi - Police Commissioner of Thane, Shri A L Jarhad - Collector of Thane, senior representatives of MIDC, MMRDA, Thane Municipal Corporation & State Police along with V A Vaishampayan, Chairman - The Thane Janata Sahakari Bank Ltd., Mr. Satish R Utekar, CEO - The Thane Janata Sahakari Bank Ltd., & Senior officials of SBI, Indiabulls and HDFC. MCHI Thane President - Nainesh Shah was also present on the occasion along with other MCHI-Thane key officials & Committee members.
In its 11th year of operations, MCHI Thane intends to reposition Thane as a progressive City that is well governed, has good infrastructure, is eco friendly as well as value for money and culturally enriched. The 11th Mega Property Exhibition this year is the first conscious, well thought out attempt to think on a macro, city-wide scale and be ahead on the trend curve.
This year, the exhibition has received an enthusiastic response of more than 75 renowned developers and Housing finance companies from all over Mumbai and Thane vis-a-vis participating. Some of these include Hiranandani Constructions, Rustomjee, Disha Direct Marketing Pvt. Ltd., Soham Group, Nirmal Lifestyle and so on.

The outlook is a flat start. The market will look to scale to new peaks though not much effort is needed for the same. HUL saw a rally and short-covering may have pulled it up further. Speculation is on that its parent will raise stake through an open offer. After the cooling in oil prices, Cairn results will be in focus.
