Michelin India launched its high performance MICHELIN Pilot Road 2 and MICHELIN Pilot Street Radial motorcycle tyres. MICHELIN Pilot Road 2 is targeted at the 500cc and above segment of Super Bikes and MICHELIN Pilot Street Radial is compatible with the 250cc to 500cc range of motorcycles.

The MICHELIN Pilot Road 2 has been designed for the 500cc+ motorcycles. It uses an innovative 'dual-compound' technology that has been derived from Michelin’s MotoGP experience which offers dual performance capabilities in one single tyre, softer rubber on the shoulders for grip and harder rubber in the centre patch to enhance fuel economy. The MICHELIN Pilot Road 2 offers best in class wet-road grip as well as improved longevity; whiole also satisfying other parameters like dry braking and steering agility for quick direction changes.
The MICHELIN Pilot Road 2 is available in sizes ranging from 120/70 ZR 17 (58W), 180/55 ZR 17 (73W) and 190/55 ZR 17 (73W); prices spread over Rs. 8,772 to Rs. 12,808. This tyre is an appropriate fit for the Ducati Monster, Honda CBR 1000R, Suzuki Bandit, Kawasaki ZZR, Yamaha FZS & Fazer, Yamaha MT-01, Triumph Speed Triple & BMW R1200 ST.
The new MICHELIN Pilot Street Radial has been designed with two High Modulus Low Shrinkage (HMLS) Polyester carcass plies thus offering required rigidity for optimal handling performances as well as increased endurance. It is supported by a specific circumferential belt made of Aramid material for an optimized contact patch.
The MICHELIN Pilot Street Radial is available in sizes ranging from 110/70 R17, 130/70 R17 and 140/70 R17; prices spread over Rs. 4,502 to Rs. 5,927. The MICHELIN Pilot Street Radial can be used as a fitment for Kawasaki Ninja 250, Ninja 300, Honda CBR 250 & Honda CB 300R.
