The 8th edition of the prestigious ICICI Bank and CNBC TV18 Present Emerging India Awards held on July 1, 2013 at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai in the presence of Narayana Murthy of Infosys and Ms Chanda Kochhar, MD and CEO of ICICI Bank. The main motto of Emerging India Awards is to honour the leaders of Small and Medium Enterprises, who have stood tall amidst ever changing market conditions to steer their organisations to success.
Commenting on ICICI Bank and CNBC TV18 Present Emerging India Awards Ms. Chanda Kochhar,MD and CEO of ICICI Bank said, " The Emerging India Awards (EIA) were conceptualized to create a platform for celebrating the entrepreneurial spirit of the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Narayan Murthy Executive Chairman of Infosys said, As in developed economies, the small and medium enterprises sector (SME) has a potential to add significant value to Indias economy too. Therefore, encouraging SME sector is an important activity.
