Real Estate major, Salarpuria Sattva announced the ‘Let us not waste food’ campaign on the occasion of World Environment Day, in association with Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) buses.

This month long initiative is aimed at creating awareness about environment protection and is organized in collaboration with the NGO ‘Rashtra Bandhu’ across Bangalore.

Posters were distributed across the city with the support of BBMP & RTO, and will be seen across 6,400 BMTC buses. Food is wasted in abundance in many places, especially restaurants and marriage halls and these posters drive home the message of 'Let us not waste food'.

The Sattva Group also aims to spread this message across lakhs of households, who live in their residential and commercial buildings.

A more sweeping societal awareness is required to cut down on waste. As a corporate entity, we believe this initiative through the BMTC and other touch points will help create the much needed awareness about saving the environment.”

He also added, “We believe that responsibility and reputation go together in every aspect of a business. As a good corporate citizen, the Group promotes a strong culture of environment protection, which is integrated into the development of every project undertaken.”

The theme of ‘Let us not waste food’ was derived from the UNEP theme for the year - ‘THINK.EAT.SAVE’, which aims to educate people about the environmental impact of food waste.
