At 10:35am (IST), the BSE Sensex was trading at 18488, down 130 points over the previous close. It had earlier touched a day's high of 18593 and a day's low of 18439. It opened at 18590.
The NSE Nifty was quoting at 5,628, down 38 points over the previous close. It earlier touched a days high of 5,651 and a days low of 5615. It opened at 5,650.
The BSE Small-Cap index and BSE Mid- Cap index was trading down in the range of 0.3-0.4

The Dow Jones industrial average fell 185.23 points, or 1.45 per cent, to 12,570.95 at the close. The S&P 500 dropped 19.04 points, or 1.39 per cent, to 1,355.49. The Nasdaq Composite lost 37.08 points, or 1.29 per cent, to 2,846.81.
