Sensex, Nifty trades lower

At 12:48pm (IST), the BSE Sensex was trading at 19957, down 47 points over the previous close.

At 12:48pm (IST), the BSE Sensex was trading at 19957, down 47 points over the previous close. It had earlier touched a day's high of 20008 and a day's low of 19938. It opened at 19987.

The NSE Nifty was quoting at 6,051 down 4 points over the previous close. It earlier touched a day’s high of 6,058 and a day’s low of 6,042. It opened at 6,045.

The BSE Small-Cap index was trading down 0.03%, while BSE Mid- Cap index was trading flat.

TCS, Wipro, Bajaj Auto, BHEL, HUL, Jindal Steel, HDFC Bank, ITC, SBI,  ICICI Bank,  Dr Reddys Lab, are among gainers in Sensex and Nifty.

RIL, Infosys, NTPC, Bharti Airtel, Sun Pharma,Hero MotoCorp, Tata Motors, Hindalco Inds, Mahindra & Mahindra, ONGC  are among losers in Sensex and Nifty.

Auto, Power, HC, Healthcare, IT, PSU, Capital goods, Consumer Durables indices are the gainers.

Metal, OIL & GAS, Bankex indices are the losers.
