At 9:22am (IST), the BSE Sensex was trading at 19213, down 15 points over the previous close. It had earlier touched a day's high of 19263 and a day's low of 19195. It opened at 19217
The NSE Nifty was quoting at 5,671, down 10 points over the previous close. It earlier touched a day’s high of 5,861 and a day’s low of 5841. It opened at 5,846.
The BSE Small-Cap index and BSE Mid- Cap index was trading flat.
Realty, Capital Goods, Power, Healthcare, Teck, Metal, Capital Goods indices are the gainers.
Oil and Gas , HC, PSU,Consumer Durables, IT indices are the losers.

The outlook is a flat start. The market will look to scale to new peaks though not much effort is needed for the same. HUL saw a rally and short-covering may have pulled it up further. Speculation is on that its parent will raise stake through an open offer. After the cooling in oil prices, Cairn results will be in focus.
