Sensex trades higher...Metal power stocks up

At 2:21pm (IST), the BSE Sensex was trading at 19348, up 178 points over the previous close.

At 2:21pm (IST), the BSE Sensex was trading at 19348, up 178 points over the previous close. It had earlier touched a day's high of 19362 and a day's low of 19186. It opened at 19229.

The NSE Nifty was quoting at 5,875, up 50 points over the previous close. It earlier touched a day’s high of 5,879 and a day’s low of 5827. It opened at 5,836.

The BSE Small-Cap index and BSE Mid- Cap index was trading up at 1%.

TCS, SBI, ICICI Bank, Tata Steel, Hero MotoCorp, ONGC, Dr Reddys Lab, Bajaj Auto, Hindalco Inds, Mahindra & Mahindra are among gainers in Sensex and Nifty.

RIL, Coal India, Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto, HUL are among losers in Sensex and Nifty.

Oil and Gas , HC, PSU, Metal, Oil and Gas,IT, Auto, Realty, Teck, Consumer Durables, Bankex, Capital Goods, Metal, are the gainers.

FMCG and IT indices are the losers.
