Spear Logistics wins 3PL excellence award

Captain Palsule received the award at the hands of Shri K. Mohandas, Secretary, Ministry of Shipping, Government of India.

Pune based contract logistics company,  Spear Logistics Pvt. Ltd.,  won the 3PL Excellence award at the Gateway media awards of Excellence : SCM and Logistics 2011 at a grand function held at The Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi.


Captain Palsule received the award at the hands of Shri K. Mohandas, Secretary, Ministry of Shipping, Government of India.


The award ceremony for the logistic service providers was organized by Gateway Media, a Hyderabad based publishing house in association with Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) (strategic partner) and Frost and Sullivan (knowledge partner & awards process validators).


On winning the 3PL Excellence award, Captain Palsule, Managing Director of Spear Logistics stated, “We are delighted and honored for the recognition from such a respected body and Jury members. I would like to congratulate the entire Spear team for their continuous effort towards this achievement. The Gateway Media Awards of Excellence: SCM & Logistics 2011 given in seven categories are aimed at recognizing and felicitating industry leaders and outstanding performers in the supply chain and logistics segments. The awards also aimed at promoting the cause of the logistics industry at large. Nominations, received from hundreds of manufacturing companies and service providers from across India, were reviewed and judged based on parameters individual to each of the award categories.


 The Awards were open to all enterprising companies, organizations and business units based in India including manufacturers, logistics service providers, 3PLs, 4PLs, software vendors, systems integrators and private rail operators.
