Turmeric price quoted in the Erode mandi stood at Rs 3,400 per quintal, up by Rs 200 per quintal. The arrivals in the Erode mandi jumped to 11,000 bags from 10,000 bags. The Salem variety was trading at Rs 3,900 per quintal, up by Rs 200 per quintal.
In the Nanded mandi of Maharashtra, select quality quoted at Rs 4,400 per quintal, up by Rs 400 per quintal. The Powder quality traded at Rs 3,800 per quintal, up by Rs 400 per quintal. In the Sangli mandi, Rajapuri variety quoted at Rs 4,200 per quintal and Desi Kadappa was quoting at Rs 3,800 per quintal.
The NCDEX Turmeric May contract moved in the range of Rs 3,778-3,912 and is currently trading lower at Rs 3,810 per quintal, down by Rs 24 or 0.63% per quintal.
