ACC MACHINERY COMPANY LIMITED ANNUAL REPORT 2005-2006 MANAGEMENT DISCUSSION AND ANALYSIS OPERATIONS: During the year ended December 31, 2006 which is under review the Company posted sales of Rs.4726 Lakh (Previous Period Rs.3273 lakh in nine months) which represents a growth of 8% on anannualized basis. This resulted in profit after tax of Rs. 849 lakh for the accounting year as compared to Rs.682 lakh for the Previous Period, a decrease of 7% on an annualized basis. Some other salient achievements during the year were as under:- * New Model Vertical Roller Pre-Grinding Mill, VRPM-270 has been manufactured and delivered. Manufacture of second mill is in progress. * Vertical Roller Pre-Grinding Mill is now a well accepted technology, for clinker pre-grinding. Order for a system based on our VRPM for Raw Meal grinding is under execution. * A newly developed and improved version of Truck Tyre Building Machine (TBM) Model 2022 has been well accepted in the market and orders for large number of TBMs are under execution. * A new model bulk transporter with container type mounting arrangement on flat bed trucks has been developed and 38M trailer type bulker is under trial. * Transit Mixers to be manufactured in collaboration with M/s.ShinMaywa Industries Ltd., Japan are expected to be introduced in the market from the second quarter of this year. INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS: Cordial industrial relations prevailed in the plant during the previous year. Future plan of action: Development of system with Vertical Roller Mill for Raw Meal Grinding/Pre- Grinding in cement plants would further enhance the productivity in cement industry and also conserve energy.
