Fresh buying continued in all the major agri commodities due to limited supplies in local mandies. Some of the commodities such as chana and jeera have witnessed some buying, while weakness was seen in guarseed complex. In todays trading, the NCDEX chana futures added 1.33 percent as traders are expecting decline in summer pulses sowing acreage in major producing states such as Maharashtra. Strong buying interest was also seen in jeera counter in todays trading as most of the speculators are expecting recovery in jeera exports in the current season. The NCDEX October Jeera futures gained 0.74 percent settled at Rs 16745 per quintal. On the other side, selling was seen in turmeric market as prices declined today due to poor export. The NCDEX October Guarseed futures settled lower by 0.80 percent today.
