Bank of India's Q4FY18 standalone net loss increases to Rs3,969cr, as against loss of Rs1,046cr yoy : Misses Estimates

The bank’s standalone NII stood at Rs2,563.90cr, down 26.08% yoy but up 2.51% qoq.

Bank of India's Q4FY18 revenue has declined by 13.1% yoy to Rs10,722cr. Its NII for the quarter came at Rs2,563.9cr as against Rs3,468.6cr yoy, which has declined by 26.1% yoy. The bank has reported net loss of Rs3,969cr for the quarter under review, which was below estimates, as against loss of Rs1,046cr reported in corresponding quarter last year. Its GNPA for Q4FY18 stood at 16.58% against 16.93% qoq, which has declined by 35bps. NNPA for the quarter came at 8.26% against 10.29% qoq, which has declined by 203bps qoq.
  • The provision for the quarter came at Rs6,674cr as against Rs4,736cr yoy, up by 40.9% yoy.
  • GNPA divergence for FY17 stood at Rs 14,057cr.

Technical View:

Bank of India ended at Rs. 107.85, up by 4.85 points or 4.71% from its previous closing of Rs. 103 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 106 and touched a high and low of Rs. 108.70 and Rs. 104.50 respectively. A total of 1,57,35,393 (NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The stock traded below its 200 DMA.
