Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation Limited (BBTC) reported standalone revenue of Rs59cr in Q1FY19, a growth of 13% yoy (12% qoq). At the operating level, it reported a loss of Rs0.55cr in Q1FY19 vs. profit of Rs4cr in Q1FY18. Standalone net loss for the quarter was Rs6cr against net loss of Rs2cr in Q1FY18.
We want to draw investors’ attention towards the fact that standalone revenues contribute only 2% to BBTC’s consolidated revenues (as per FY18 data). Hence, looking at merely the standalone numbers does not reveal the true picture of its performance. The company declares only standalone financials in its quarterly results announcement. Consolidated numbers are declared only for annual performance.
Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation Ltd is currently trading at Rs. 1,569.05, up by 19.5 points or 1.26% from its previous closing of Rs. 1,549.55 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 1,554.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1,628.80 and Rs. 1,540 respectively. So far 4,76,493 (NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The stock is currently trading below its 50 DMA.
