Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation Limited (BBTC) reported standalone revenue of Rs59cr in Q2FY19, growth of 6% yoy (down 1% qoq). At the operating level, it reported loss of Rs7cr in Q2FY19 vs. loss of Rs9cr in Q2FY18. Standalone net loss for the quarter was Rs9cr against net loss of Rs11cr.
We want to draw investors’ attention towards the fact that standalone revenues contribute only 2% to BBTC’s consolidated revenues (as per FY18 data). Hence, looking at just the standalone numbers does not at all reveal the true picture of its performance. The company declares only standalone financials in its quarterly result announcement. Consolidated numbers are declared only for annual performance.
Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation Ltd ended at Rs. 1,420.15, up by 10.15 points or 0.72% from its previous closing of Rs. 1,410 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 1,405 and touched a high and low of Rs. 1,437 and Rs. 1,371.60 respectively. A total of 30,909 (NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The stock traded above its 200 DMA.
