Central Bank of India's Q2FY19 standalone net loss widens to Rs924cr yoy : Misses Estimates

The bank’s standalone NII stood at Rs1,676cr, down 1.9% yoy and 0.13% qoq.

Central Bank of India’s Q2FY19 NII came at Rs1,676cr as against Rs1,709cr yoy, which has declined by 1.9%. The bank has reported net loss of Rs924cr, against loss of Rs750cr reported in corresponding quarter last year. Its GNPA for Q2FY19 stood at 21.5% against 22.2% qoq, which has decreased by 69bps qoq. NNPA for the quarter came at 10.36% against 10.58% qoq which has declined by 22 bps.


Technical View:

Central Bank of India ended at Rs. 30.85, down by 0.4 points or 1.28% from its previous closing of Rs. 31.25 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 31.55 and touched a high and low of Rs. 32.25 and Rs. 30 respectively. A total of 20,84,366 (NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The stock traded above its 200 DMA.
