Lux Industries Ltd’s Q1FY19 revenue grew 6.6% yoy (degrew 23.5% qoq) to Rs262cr. EBITDA came in at Rs38cr, up 16.2% yoy and 35.2% qoq. EBITDA margin expanded 119bps yoy and contracted 258bps qoq to 14.3%. Company’s adjusted net profit stood at Rs19cr, up 19.5% yoy but down 41% qoq. Adjusted profit came below the estimates of Rs22cr.

• Cost of goods sold stood at 38.9% of revenue vs. 41.8% yoy, leading to EBITDA margin expansion.
• Subcontracting/jobbing expenses stood at 25.1% of revenue vs 23.1% yoy.
• Other expenses stood at 17.8% of sales vs 18.7% yoy, aiding in profitability growth.
