Ratnamani Metals and Tubes Ltd reported strong earnings growth for Q1FY19 with an expansion in EBITDA margins on a yoy basis. Revenues for the quarter rose 91.9% yoy to Rs609cr. EBITDA stood at Rs90.5cr, up 105.3% yoy. EBIDTA margin rose 97bps yoy to 14.9%. Net profit stood at Rs58cr for Q1FY19, up 150.1%.
  • Higher raw material costs continued into Q1FY19 as well, resulting in gross margins falling 197bps yoy to 32%.
  • Finance costs rose sharply by 222% yoy to Rs4.7cr due to higher production activity in the quarter.
  • Results for the wind segment stood at:
    • Revenue – Rs7.3cr, down 2.1% yoy
    • EBIT – Rs4.4cr, down 5.4% yoy
