In a move which will prove to be a boon for elderly people living alone in the city, Epoch Eldercare- India’s leading organization providing professional elder care services is all set to launch Assisted Living Homes for the elderly in Delhi and NCR. Epoch’s first Assisted Living Home would be located in the heart of Gurgaon and will be designed keeping in mind the comfort and safety of its elderly residents.
The Assisted Living Home will have all basic amenities in the room like bed and mattress which are comfortable for the elders, side table, cupboard, modern washroom three nutritious and well-balanced meals every day, round the clock water and electricity supply, common room equipped with LCD TV, newspapers, books, games along with phone and internet facility to stay in touch with their near and dear ones. An important feature of this Assisted Living Home would be the trained staff for assisting the elderly and for providing them with much needed intellectual companionship.

Designed for people above 55 years of age, the new Assisted Living Home charges a nominal fee to provide the residents with basic care and support in activities of daily living in a home-like setting. The Assisted Living Home would welcome elderly suffering from some age related physical and mental problems including but not restricted to mobility issues, diabetes, Alzheimer’s and dementia.
The Epoch Assisted Living Home, apart from having basic facilities will also have a nurse present during the night to perform regular checks on residents. It would also have a resident home manager to monitor and supervise the staff and to provide intellectual companionship to the residents. The home manager would also ensure their well-being and shall provide medical assistance in case of emergencies.
