Shalimar Paints wins Brand Excellence Award by World Marketing Congress

Led by the reputed Anand Bazar Patrika (ABP) group and judged by some of the best brains in marketing from World Marketing Congress, this award is a recognition of Shalimar’s branding and marketing efforts to revitalise a century old brand.

Shalimar Paints, India’s oldest and iconic paint maker has been awarded the Brand Excellence Award in the category of Brand Revitalisation. Led by the reputed Anand Bazar Patrika (ABP) group and judged by some of the best brains in marketing from World Marketing Congress, this award is a recognition of Shalimar’s branding and marketing efforts to revitalise a century old brand.
 
On winning the award, Sameer Nagpal, Managing Director & CEO, Shalimar Paints said, “Shalimar Paints is India’s iconic paint brand that has been credited with painting India’s landmark buildings and structures. We began a journey of transformation a year back to regain the brand’s lost glory. We initiated several strategic changes, and rejuvenating the brand was the foundation of our transition. We are encouraged that our efforts have been recognized by this reputed forum.”
 
As part of actions to breathe life into a 112-year old brand, the company undertook in-depth consumer research to carve a new logo and identity. Given its strength of making aesthetically superior, durably, good quality paints, it refreshed its positioning as the ‘Art and Science of Paints’ and rolled out its new identity. It also launched a range of new products reflecting its new identity and philosophy in its packaging. Through social media, a new website and interactive marketing, this century old brand is now seen connecting with customers. These actions to refresh India’s oldest paint brand were specifically recognized by the jury while giving Shalimar Paints this coveted award.
