IET Felicitates Professionally Registered engineers in Mumbai

Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) - one of the world’s leading professional societies for the engineering and technology community felicitated the members who received their Professional Registrations from the IET in India in 2011 – 2012. The IET Felicitation event was a grand ceremony held at Hotel Meluha in Mumbai. Sanjay Patki, Vice President, TATA Power and Dr. J.J. Patel, Advisor of Technology, Crompton Greaves Limited, were the Guest of Honour and Chief Guest at the event respectively.

 

The event saw participation of over 100 representatives from leading engineering companies including Black & Veatch and Crompton Greaves. Professional qualification is an important milestone for any engineer or technologist and is a significant marker of excellence. The event was organised to felicitate and celebrate the success of Professionally Qualified Engineers.

 

“Professional Registrations like CEng, IEng, EngTech and ICTTech establish an engineer’s proven knowledge, understanding and competence. Through professional registrations, the IET in India aims to equip the engineering talent to compete on a global platform. It enriches their career prospects in the employment vicinity and helps them develop and enhance their competence among the global workforce”, said Shekhar Sanyal, Country Head, IET India. He further added ,“In 2012, we witnessed around 54 applicants who got registered for professional registration with the IET, out of whom  47 engineers received professional registration in 2012.“

 

The IET is one of the largest institutions in the world offering internationally recognised professional qualifications for engineers such as Chartered Engineer (CEng), Incorporated Engineer (IEng), Engineering Technician (EngTech), ICT Technician (ICTTech). The IET’s professional registrations equip India’s engineering talent to prove their competitiveness in the global market by improving their self-motivation and enhancing their career prospects. In addition, it also provides platforms and opportunities to interact with innovative, influential and inspirational people in the community.
