IIFM believes that students need to focus on more than just the syllabus and expand their horizons by contributing towards the upliftment of society.

IFIM Business School, ranked the No. 1 Private Business School in Bangalore for two consecutive years*, inaugurated a coaching centre for underprivileged children on Friday, 15th February at the IFIM Campus in Electronics City. In order to provide quality education to children from the neighbouring village, the institute's CSR team has volunteered to dedicate a few hours every week  towards teaching the children.

IIFM believes that students need to focus on more than just the syllabus and expand their horizons by contributing towards the upliftment of society. In keeping with their commitment towards social causes, they encourage their students to look for innovative programmes and workshops that underline social issues and endeavour to educate the public at large.

The inauguration of the coaching centre was presided over by  Sanjay Padode, Secretary, IFIM B-School. Addressing the volunteers from IFIM and the children present, he said, “Our aim is to help the children stand shoulder-to-shoulder with every other individual in this competitive world.

It has been our mission to bring about equality in education in India and I am sure that the volunteers will put in a whole-hearted effort towards this noble cause.” Following this, the volunteers from IFIM spent time interacting with the children and distributing notebooks and pens amongst the children.

India has more than 2 million children who are out of school and several children who start schooling eventually dropout due to various pressures. Only 10 percent of the children who start schooling, continue their education manage to take up collegiate education.

To impart quality learning and educate children from all walks of life, IFIMites have taken this stride. The inauguration of this coaching centre was held on the 15th of February, which aptly coincided with Saraswati Puja, which is a day to celebrate the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom.
