The Tata Group announced the ninth edition of the largest inter-collegiate business quiz, Tata Crucible Campus Quiz. This year’s quiz promises to be more compelling, more challenging and more creative with a new format and expansion to new cities.
Providing opportunities to more colleges to engage with this knowledge initiative, 6 more cities are being added to the regional rounds, taking the overall count to 30 cities in the 2013 edition. A bigger event, a greater number of battling wits and higher stakes with a grand prize of INR Rs.5,00,000* - the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz is back to challenge the sharpest young minds in India.
Furthermore, the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2013 will incorporate all things quick and contemporary in its 6 Quotient (6Q) concept, the overriding theme being ‘Speed’ simply abbreviated SQ (Speed Quotient). A full-buzzer format this year, the Quiz will exhort not just divergent thinking but also sharp and speedy responses from its participants across all the six rounds.

Starting from Coimbatore, the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2013 will travel to Trichy (13th Feb), Lucknow (16th Feb), Kozhikode (18th Feb), Kochi (19th Feb), Raipur (21st Feb), Nagpur (22nd Feb), Navi Mumbai (24th Feb), Goa (25th Feb), Ghaziabad-Noida (28th Feb), Amritsar (1st March), Chandigarh (2nd March), Rohtak (3rd March), , Jammu (5th March), Indore (6th March), Jaipur (8th March), Ahmedabad (9th March), Hyderabad (10th March), Guwahati (12th March), Jamshedpur (13th March), Bhubaneswar (14th March), Pune (16th March), Chennai (17th March), Visakhapatnam (18th March), Manipal (20th March), Bengaluru (23rd March), Delhi (24th March), Patna (25th March), Kolkata (30th March) and Mumbai (31st March).
According to the ace quizmaster Giri Balasubramaniam a.k.a ‘Pickbrain’, who will conduct the quiz, "Tata Crucible is the biggest battleground for campuses today and a reflection of how new India is powered by the B and C towns. I am all geared for this 30 city extravaganza."
From this year, the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz would be introducing Zonal finals. The top two teams from each zone would battle it out for the top spot and the coveted Tata Crucible Trophy at the National Finals to be held in Mumbai on April 14, 2013.
The mega International Final of the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2013 will be organized in Mumbai where the winners and runners-up from the Indian edition of Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2013 will compete with the winners and runner ups of the Singapore and UK editions, held earlier this financial year, to win the International Championship title.
